What is necessary to do for vending machine tuning before the GSM-terminal installation?

It’s necessary to perform the following operations:

• Vending machines software update (chip with software included in the Inserted kit and it’s free of charge);
•  Setup “Saeco” at menu-item System management => Serial Protocol;
• Setup VM Code (any nonvanishing unique for every vending machine number);
• Setup Country Code (all vending machines must have the same number).

What are the requests to the vending machines?

GPRS coverage is imperative requirement in the vending machines location.

What are the system requests to PC which will be use for AC-Server program installation?

• PC operates under Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows 2003 Server;
• PC has access the Internet and external IP-address (static NAT).

 Is the database restore possible?

Yes, it is. Astute Control allows:

• make database backup;
• set a periodicity and time of automatic backup;
• set a maximal quantity of backups which stored at the same time. The exceeding of specified quantity will resulted to automatically delete oldest backup files;
• restore the database from selected backup.

How is the client’s data protection realized?

• Self-authentication and data encoding procedures in the course of interaction between system components exclude unauthorized access to any unit of the system;
• AC-Monitor users have their own logins to enter the system, all their operations in modifying the parameters of vending machines are recorded. The role-based security system makes it possible to establish tailored access rules for each user;
• AC-Server program and AC-Monitor program are protected by special HASP-keys. The absence of HASP-key makes impossible to use the software by unauthorized user.

Is the system Astute Control work with the vending machines under the other trade marks (except Saeco)?

The system works with the vending machines supported EVA-DTS protocol.

Can I exercise control of vending machines out of office?

Yes, you can. It’s possible to work at any place if your PC has access the Internet. So you have the opportunity to control and manage vending machines at home or from business trip.

What is the router and what for it need?

Router is a special device which allows controlling two or three vending machines located alongside by dint of one GSM-terminal. The use of routers reduces system’s cost.

What is possible distance between the vending machines under using the router?

The distance may be about 30 meters (if the protection of interface cable is possible).
